As SM I set the recommendation that adults are referred to on a first
name basis. I have found that this breaks down the barriers between
youth and adults that are set up by other institutions. I don't feel any
disrespect. When I talk, they listen. When any SA talks, they listen. Now I
working on them listening to each other that way.
Respect is given as a result of actions, not titles. (not intended as a
flame, just a personal, biased observation)
