Hello Marcia ,
Please don't intend this as a flame, however this is an issue I have
very strong feelings on...
My primary concern with your post is that you say that the Scoutmaster
wants to make these changes.....what about your PLC and Senior Patrol
Leader. The decision should be made by the PLC regarding patrol names
not the SM, or the committee....
I believe the same should go for uniforming....your troop junior leaders
should decide when they feel a class A is appropriate and when a class B
is acceptable....It should also be their job to determine what the class
B should consist of.
Again, I don't mean to flame, I just hope that you and your other
leaders will realize that these items are not issues the ADULTS need to
be deciding. Rather, they are issues that the youth need the adult's
guidance and support so they can make this decision on their own.
