I went through this about 10 years ago...
I spent months researching and pricing. I finally found access to an
industrial
machine that would hold a 24' tipi.
After pricing the high quality canvas, and calculated the wasted meterial,
I discovered it was
cheaper to buy one already made!!! (bought from Panther Primatives and LOVE
it!)
I then thought that I could MAKE my own poles...
I tried PVC, electrical conduit, 2x2's, 2x4's... Nothing worked correctly.
I bought REAL
poles from Rembrant Leather for $17 each! They were cheaper than the
industrial PVC.
