Word from our district's Boy Scout Basic Training course is that the cool
sanitizer should no longer be cool, but hot. Near boiling hot. This change came,
AFAIK, in the Fall '97 course.

As I teach pre-school, this is also something that changed in the Minimum
Standards for Child Care Facilities in 1997. For years, we used the 2-dishpan
method - hot wash, cool bleach water rinse. The standards now are warm wash, hot
bleach water rinse.
