This remindes me of a new Scout who was chosen to lead the Color
Guard at a troop Court of Honor. He was nervous and asked me to
coach him on just what to do and say. We repeated what needed to
be done several times, at his request.
When the troop and guests wre assembled I gave him the nod and he
nervously began his duty. As the Colors were brought in and posted
he relaxed visibly. He confidently asked the group to rise for the
Pledge of Allegiance, turned smartly to facd the flag, started to
raised his hand in salute and in a strong voice comanded, "One!"
Yours in the spirit of Scouting,
