Yes, the boys should have an Order of the Arrow election, if they want
one. This is, of course, a program for the honored scouts, and if the
boys feel that their peers are ready for the OA, and the boys have met
the requirements for the OA, (page 426, Boy Scout Handbook, cat. no
33105) then they should have an election.
The Vice Chief of Membership from your local chapter should have
contacted you, or should be contacting you soon, about an election. If
not, call or e-mail the OA chapter advisor asking to have the Vice Chief
of Membership to call and set up an election. If you don't know who the
chapter advisor is, call your DE. S/he should be able to hook you up.
All troops are encouraged to have Scouts who are brothers in the order,
and hopefully yours will, too.
