Fellow Scouters:
I have been lurking on the fringes of this list for a while now, but have=
never posted before. But I need a little help now. I have come to=
respect the depth of knowledge represented by this large group of=
Scouters, and I am quiet sure many of you have the information I need.=
(No, it has nothing to do with viruses, blue cards or dish washing=
technique :-)
I am a staffer for Wood Badge SR-320 which will be held July 24-31 at=
Philmont. We have Scouters registered from all over the nation to attend=
the course, but so far we have fewer Scouters registered from the local=
area than I had expected. I have learned that part of the problem is that=
we have no tradition of Wood Badge at Philmont here locally, and it is=
apparently not widely understood why a Philmont course is so special and=
different than a local course.
Since I know from past postings that many of you have participated in Wood=
Badge at Philmont, would you mind sharing to the list stories about=
why/how it was a special experience?
Thanks
Gary Stephenson
Staff SR-320
