I just came home from a meeting where I found out the latest registration
numbers for:
SaMaJam'99 (Saskatchewan-Manitoba Jamboree), July 18-24, 1999
While the jamboree is definitely a go, numbers are lower than planned and
registrations are still being taken.
Most disappointing is that there are no registrations from BSA
participants yet.
Register now and have your troop experience being foreign celebrities ar a
great Jamboree.
The basic registration fee of the Jamboree fee is $150 Canadian (about $100
US currently) for SaMaJam is a bargain.
Additionally, patrols are required to arrange their own transportation, to
come self contained, and to provide their own meals (out Troop estimates our
food cost at another $150 Canadian).
Participants areregistered in patrols (of 2-8 Scouts/Venturers and 1 or 2
leaders).
Each patrol will rank their preferences for 19 choices from which they will
get about 10.
There's info on SaMaJam available from
