Hello out there in scouting-l land. I have a request and would like to =
re-introduce myself. Because of family and business comittments I have =
been off Scouts-L for a year or so, though I've stayed active in scouts.
My name is Gary McBain, I am currently an ASM with Troop 254 in Sterling =
Heights, MI, Clinton Valley Council., and am slated to take over the troop =
as Scoutmaster at the end of this school year. Finished up my Woodbadge =
Ticket last September.
Though this year's summer camp is set, I would like to take the scouts on =
a road trip in the summer of 2000. I am planning on a week to ten days, =
staying each location 1.5 -2 days. I am looking for suggestions for places =
to stay, things to see and do that are educational, historic, fun and that =
I can incorporate into merit badge requirements. We did a successful tour =
around Michigan 3 years ago, and would like to do a loop through Illinois =
and/or Indiana and/or Kentucky and/or Ohio, and/or parts thereof.
Obviously, I am still in the early conceptual stages, but I would =
appreciate any and all suggestions for the annual planning meeting this =
summer.
