This virus warning is, as everyone know by now, absolutely true.
HOWEVER, it will only really affect you if
(1) You use Microsoft Word AND
(2) You use Microsoft Outlook.
The virus is a "macro" virus that uses the macro instruction
capabilities of Word to spread itself. If you don't open the attached
file, it can't spread. SO, any time you get a file from someone you
know, check to make sure they meant to send it.
