PowWow Registration Program Help

I need to find a program to do registration for PowWow.
Last year I and a friend were approached to do PowWow
registration. I wanted to but was hesitant based on some past
experiences as a participant. My friend assured me it would be a
simple procedure to write it in Access. He never finished and last
years registration was a disaster.
We re-volunteered, mostly in an effort to save face after last year.
Tonight I got a message that he feels he doesn't have the time or
desire to finish it. OUCH!!!!
Does anyone know of a program for doing registrations of about
500 to 600 participants? Alternately, what methods have you used
to handle it manually? Any help would be appreciated.
