I was going to post this privately, but, there seems to be a discussion
going on.
Our troop had CPR "training" by an EMT who is "certified" by the Heart
Association. She does this professionally and charged us $10 a piece.
What book do you need? In an emergency you either know it or not :). I
was impressed by our instructor on ability to get us to retain the
information. This year was the second time I've taken the training.
We were also told that they ( the Heart Assoc.) and the American Red
Cross no longer "certify" you. Certification is for professionals and can
set you up for a liability suit instead of being a "good Samaritan".
This also brings up the question of being "CPR Certified for BSA Life
Guard".
Anybody else have any different information?
