Jim,
I get the AHA certification through one of the units I work with and prefer
it to the Red Cross certification I got last year before going to Philmont.
First of all, the AHA certification is good for two years instead of one year
for Red Cross. And it may have had something to do with the instructors, but
I found the AHA course to be much more thorough--we covered everything from
infant to adult including rescue breathing and the Heimlich maneuver.
