I'm searching for BSA literature on how to construct a C.O.P.E. course,
or individual cope events. Has anyone seen this information on a web
page?

BSA publishes C.O.P.E. (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience) National
Standards, I believe it is number 34365. It outlines the standards for
construction of many COPE events. The best way to learn about COPE and how to
effectively use the program however is to attend COPE training at National
Campong School (NCS). Here you will be taught how to structure a program to
teach team building skills, initiative games, and the proper way to run the
high adventure events, along with how to build 'em and inspect them to be sure
they are safe for use.
In order to run a COPE program through the Council you need a NCS trained
Director. This is required for summer camp programs as well as weekend
events. Besides it is a lot of fun.
Other COPE sources are "Silver Bullets" by Karl Rohnke, "Cowstails and Cobras
II" also by Karl Rohnke, and "On Course" by Adrian Kissler.
If you find anything intersting on the Web I would be interested to hear about
it.
