Adv. Charts Results

Hi Scoutellers!

You may remember that I posed a question to the group regarding the use of
the BSA supply advancement charts in your units. I asked that you reply
personally and that I would post the results.

The general feeling is that they were a good thing for scouts to see. Kept
them thinking about advancement.

The responses then seemed to pretty much break up with size of the
unit...much as I had suspected. The larger troops tended either to not use
the charts or felt like the charts weren't kept up to date and were
rendered usless. "Just too much work" was the common quote. Also, the
attrition rate (having scouts add or drop out) caused the chart to get out
of alphabetical order and difficult to use.

Many smaller troops (below 30 scouts) tended to use the chart a lot. Many
said it was the troop scribe's responsibility to keep it up to date.

Th-th-th-that's all folks!

BLUE SKIES!, Any day above ground is a good day!
