Re: Advancement Charts?

Our pack and troop use an advancement tracking device. It's the
wooden form, with name plates that are moved from rank to rank. I
find it very useful, but since we are not allowed to "permanently
place" it on a wall somewhere, it only gets brought out during big
events -- like Blue & Gold or Pack Graduation. The Eagle board
(lists all Eagle scouts out of our troop) is given a very small
permanent place (nowhere near the meeting sites), but their
regular advancement board, like ours, is packed away usually.

On the other hand, one other troop in town is allowed to post their
board in their fellowship hall, out in plain sight for all to view!
It's kept up to date, and since time is sometimes tight, the names
are put on masking tape and placed on the small nameplates. Our names
for pack and troop are routered into the wood of the nameplate.
