Re: Another Strange Patrol

Strange Patrol Name -- how about the "no name patrol"...read on

Basically when we scouts formed a patrol for the 1971 World Jamboree -
we agreed upon "NO Name, nothing, zero, absence-of-name" --- The
"establishment" hated the idea and sat us down for another hour to come
up with a real "traditional" name --- but, we once again asserted that
we wanted the name we started with -- our no name patrol had more
"patrol spirit" than the others with "fancy" names -- surely we showed
that patrol spirit as to "cheerfully" dealt with the 33 1/3 inches of
rain that fell in 2 days at that Jamboree site........

Oh by the way..........
Patrol Patch: Was a "blank" patrol patch available at the time
Patrol Flag: None, just a pole
Patrol Yell: "silence"
Patrol Song: "silence" again
Patrol Motto: "silence" yet again

The leaders listed our Patrol name on documents as the "!@#$%^&*()"
Patrol -- we thought it was cool that they just put those symbols ----
until got older and found out maybe there was another "meaning" for such
symbols as a way to describe our patrol!!!!
