Of the 4 Packs I've been involved with over the last 35 years, only one has
turned boys upside down. Most of the boys were terrified, and dreaded it.
Why did they do it? The Cubmaster loved it, and refused to stop. Later this
same man, as SA, dealt with roughhousing by grabbing my oldest son by the
throat and throwing him across the room. He earned himself a lifetime ban,
but drove my son out of Boy Scouts after only 6 months. The two behaviors
are, at least in my mind, closely related. A large adult turning a tiny
Bobcat upside is pure cruelty, and should never be tolerated.
