When I lived in Tacoma, WA our cub scout pack made an annual camp out of
the event. Its usually held the first Weekend in June. There were a
lot of camp site along the way to Blaine. but you need to make
reservations early.
There ceremonies there are impressive, but not as impressive as watching
5,000 - 15,000 scouts (boy and girl) from both countries merge to a mass
of young humanity to trade uniform parts, patches and other trinkets.
If you have the chance to take your scouts there do so. It is an event
they will never forget.
