Got a call from our troop SM about this with request to ask the list:

On page 15 of the new handbook under Junior Assistant Scoutmaster:

...may be appointed by the senior patrol leader, with the advice and
consent of the Scoutmaster....

In older books, we thought this position was selected/given by the
Scoutmaster. Have we lost it or is this a change???
