Hi Judy if this does not make the list can you send for me. I am having
trouble posting lately.
our most memorable tour was to the Titanic Graveyard in Halifax we started
the day with a trip to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic where they have a
fabulous display on Titanic relics. The curator showed us and more
importantly discussed with us the disaster in 'child language'. We had
lunch in the court yard of the museum and had our picturers taken by the
huge anchor and again by the wave statue which is a monument to ALL lost at
sea.
>From there a bus ride to the graveyard. while there we walked thru and spoke
to the caretaker of the yard. He showed us the graves and told us a little
history of as many as he could remember. It was really neat and then not
long after that the Titanic hit the rental stores well the rest is history.
the kids most of them anyway seen the movie shortly thereafter.
It was educational and informative but most important really fun. And the
amazing thing is I walked by it daily as a child and never knew it was
there!
