NO, it is not true, John.
Adults will CONTINUE to wear the Eagle Scout square knot on the
field uniform. Youth (under 18 years of age in Boy Scouting) will
continue to wear the cloth Eagle Scout "rank patch" on their field
uniforms.
To wear the Eagle Scout square knot correctly, take a look at the
unofficial Insignia site under "square knots".
