I spoke to the C/S Division of National. Their story is that the original
text
of the computers handbook was "not very user friendly" so they at first
decided to rewrite it. At the same time a Task Force was either started
or was in progress of reviewing the entire Science & Academics program.
They then decided to hold off on publishing the Computer book till the
new leaders manual is ready. The target date is August 1999.
They are talking about combining all books & guide into one book &
changing some of the rules to simplify the program. they also went on
to say that depending on how things went they may try to get out the
requirements to computers before the new book is ready.
