Mike-
I was not aware of the ruling on cammo apparel, but that is nothing new
as we live out on the fringes. In our economically challenged area, we
do some things differently than we would in the 'big city'. Marfa is a
small border town, predominantly Hispanic and was once (don't know if
still is) in the poorest county (Presidio) in the U.S.

We have to 'make do' on a lot of things. A majority of our boys come from
broken homes....etc, etc. I am sure you get the picture. We take
anything we can get for free: alot of our boys would not be able to go
camping were it not for the rain gear, mummy bags, hiking boots, mess
kits, alice packs and other gear we have procured from the military
salvage yard. We have even gotten platform tents for our use and to
donate to the local camp. Parents are not too happy sending their boys
rappelling or camping in school jeans and generally don't have funds for
uniforms. Our resources for used uniform items are almost nonexistent.
We are in the process of setting up a uniform closet for the newer boys,
but its slim pickings.

I liked the idea of sending in the cammo pants to see if national would
design uniform pants like them.
