Subject: Broken Arrow - WHY??

The only Broken Arrow ceremonies I have ever seen are used by
OA members upon the death of a brother. Has someone changed it
to be used as a "crossover" ceremony?
And I agree, why break arrows, etc. to give to Webelos? Crossovers
should be simple, easy to understand, and fun for the kids. Let's not
make them so complicateed and full of supposed "symbolism" that
no one understands them, or cares about them My unit's co
ceremony takes about 6 minutes, plus a little time to announce the
name of each Scout as he crosses a bridge. Short, impressive, and
easy to deal with all the way around.
