Re: Award for Starting a Troop

Following on this thread, I thought I'd take a few minutes to brag.
Many of you might recall that last year about this time I was asking
for suggestions on resurrecting a 76-yr-old troop (with one active
17-yr-old). Well, one year later we are up to 7 boys, none of whom
were in the troop at this time last year. And I am even prouder to
report that Troop 212 of the Greater Lowell Council has earned the
Quality Unit award for the first time in who-knows-how-many years.
As for awards for saving/restarting/whatever a unit, from my
perspective I get mine every time I look at what "my boys" are doing
and see their excitement and commitment. Anything else pales in
comparison.
