A Holiday Thought for this Year and Next

It is that time of year again. I head off for a week of golf carts and
single women. (A retirement community where my parents live.) Life will
slow down for a week while I am there. (Speed limit of 15 miles an hour,
however, no one has yet got that fast in either a car or golf cart.)
Christmas will be a time of great joy and questions. (I can't see that hold
it up higher! What did he say?) There will be a lot of reflection that
week. (Mainly off the TV screen because there is nothing else to do unless
you play bingo.) We'll take long walks together. (With 10 million other
tourists who think standing in line in Florida is a vacation.) So before I
part I want all of you to PLEASE TRY AND INVITE ME SOMEPLACE ELSE NEXT YEAR!
May the coming year, bring more friends, whose friendship lasts longer. May
you grow to learn the value of friends and the reason why you can never
place a value on them. May you learn to become the best friend you can ever
be.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
