A couple questions

Hello. This is my first post, so I hope I am doing this right.
This is my first year involved in scouts, and I have been assigned to
take care of advancements. In my reading of this list, I have seen many
awards and achievements mentioned that I know nothing about. My son is
a Bear this year, and I have no idea how many of the things mentioned
apply to his age group. I was wondering if there was a comprehensive
list of achievements online somewhere. The only things I know of are in
the book. I get the feeling there are more out there that can be
earned. I would hate to think of the boys in our den who will miss out
on something because of my ignorance.
I would also like to know about these high adventure things. Is that
something that 3rd graders are expected to do, or are they for Boy
Scouts?
