1907 and all that

in all my years as a scout in the uk - wolf cub to queens scout - 1907
was always, always known as the starting date of this great game.
and in 1957 i was privileged attend the jubilee jamboree at sutton
coldfield, uk, celebrating 50 years of this great game
and i intend to be around in 2007 to celebrate the first century.
bp formulated his ideas in the years prior to 1907 and conducted the
first scout camp at brownsea island in that year, from which flowed
the publication - in serial parts - of scouting for boys.
and we exist today due to his foresight and the energies of those
throughout the decades, which we today are privileged to continue.
