What I have said to my own patrol as Webs is this:
There are no "cool" scouts, but if you think that guys like Barry
Larkin, Scott Mitchell, Steve Young, Steven Speilberg, half the guys
who fly jets for the military, etc, most of the Astronauts, Half of
the Congress that affects most of the free world are cool adults then
you might want to stick around and learn what they learned when they
weren't cool Scouts either.=20
No promises, just the facts. Then let them look at the list of Scouts
who made it "big". (A 12 year old doesn't see much glamour in any
adult he knows.) Sounds, hookey, but it worked!
