Apologies to Kelly Parker, comments otherwise stand

Kenneth P. Utz (cservcs1@GTE.NET)
Tue, 10 Nov 1998 12:23:44 -0600

Kelly Parker reports, in part: "you shamed the wrong person. I think the
author of the letter bashing Wood Badge people, with the 15+ years as UDC,
ADC, etc. was the person who signs himself Redcoat from the Seattle area .
.. . The letter in question was a reply to my original post . . . I was
kind of shocked seeing my name together with the kind of stuff Redcoat
wrote."

My apologies to Kelly Parker, as indeed I did (now known to be mistakenly)
read the post to be his, and therefore likewise responded to him.

In most circles it is hard to get an apology out to everyone that may have
seen or heard someone say something, but due to the nature of SCOUTS-L with
a limited population I trust I am able to, and ask that if by any chance
any of you forwarded my comments elsewhere, though I doubt that you would
have, that you also forward this correction.

My statement, however strongly stated, however, is truly felt - - and if
someone does not understand Wood Badge training, we as leaders have an
obligation to demonstrate its value and explain its purpose rather than
just make people think its a group of old geezers that called their
weekends out with "da boys" "training".

Just a plain 'ole (Plano) Texan and a good 'ole Antelope, too, but I will
forever be an Eagle!
