1999 Rank Requirements-Tenderfoot (Opinion

Fellow Scouts-Lrs,

Thought I would look at one Rank at a time.

What National has for us to look at in advance of 1999 for changes
to this rank look reasonable. Many of us registered scouters will
apparently get this little flyer mailed to us or it will be made =

available at Council.

The page numbers associated with each requirement aren't listed
so this reviewer can't be sure they did a complete job. I like
to see all the pages listed rather than 1997's style of missing
one page out of a sequence or starting on page 2 of a book topic.

Tend:Req-3 Cooking in a Patrol has been added after 1997 Req-2
otherwise the rest are pretty much the same.

Tend:Req-2 A confusion in 97 Req-2 that called out specifically =

tent sleeping yet kind of indicated the scout should also sleep =

under the stars on a ground bed was fixed.

Tend:Req-3 Has a cooking requirement to be done with your patrol
This is good and will hopefully help some troops use the patrol
method rather than the one big troop Bigger Bears, Adult Driven
model. ONLY a hope. With Req-3 and Req-8 only being possible in =

a Patrol one would think that many scout adults might get the =

idea or be able to foster it better within the adult resistance.

Tend:Req-10a FINALLY has a side by side chart for Base and 30 days.

Bottom line:
------------
An Improvement, CONGRATULATIONS Irving-JoeD, and other Scouts-Lrs
that input or work directly with National.

YiS, IMHO, and may we each attempt to live the SO,SL,SS,SM
