Funny story to share

Hello to the list:
I thought that you might find this incident humorous.
While on vacation in Vancouver Washington I was fortunate to be
able to attend my nephew's Day Camp, Camp Lewis in Cascade Pacific Council.
What a terrific program they put on! I came back with many new ideas to
share with my day camp staff and you all, too. But I have to tell you this
one short story.
On the last day of camp I was smearing sunscreen on all of my Wolf
Den (Den Name: The Motley Crew....hey, it was a Pirates theme, okay??).
One of the moms sent this new kind of sunscreen that goes on blue and then
is supposed to fade away, supposedly to get kids to wear sunscreen and also
to see where you have and have not applied it. So I apply it to all of the
kids, of course liberally smearing it on my hands over and over. The
sunscreen on the boys faded in a few minutes. Well, I don't know why, but
it did not fade off of my hands!!! So my hands, from fingertips to wrists,
were this distinctive shade of bright purplish blue for hours!
So we go down to the opening flag ceremony, and one of the
(terrific) youth staff stares at my hands and says in wonderment "Were you
helping put chemicals in the Kybos?" (Kybos are outhouses/chemical toilets)
Well, I just about collapsed in hysteria as I realized that my hands were
the same color as the outhouse chemicals at the camp, and it certainly did
look like I had been stirring up the Kybos! <VBG>
So I had a good time that day telling all of the staff that I was so
tired of the boys complaining about the smell in the Kybos that I decided to
stir them up and make them smell better!<G> And by 4 pm my hands were only a
pale shade of blue...... I will never use THAT brand of sunscreen again!
<<Hee Hee Heeee>>
Have a great weekend! And THANK YOU to all of the Fort Vancouver
District Scouts and Scouters that provide such a terrific day Camp
experience for those boys and who welcomed me so warmly. You are the Greatest!
YIS
