I'm back

Hi Folks
I've missed you! Here's what's up since I've been no-mail. I finished my
ticket this past Wed. (thanks to those who helped, especially Mike Malone &
Olan Watkins), & Florence just got final approval on hers tonight. I'll let
you know when our ceremony is - anyone who could be in the Chicago area would
be most welcome.
At summer camp our youngest son did his Ordeal - that makes everyone still at
home an Arrowman. I earned BSA Lifeguard - the last time I was certified was
so long ago it was Scout Lifeguard and didn't expire, and Jim Moss was on camp
staff.
After camp my successor as SM quit, which opened a large can worms. The final
result is that his replacement doesn't want us around, so we are now
registered with Troop 69 out of neighboring Burr Ridge, IL, whose SM, Ron Fox,
is a member of the list (and, I must add, a good old Eagle, too). We are very
excited to be with them.
About the time I went no-mail, I was asked to serve on our Dist. Advancement
Committee. Sept. 12 we're doing our Council's first-ever seminar on Boy Scout
advancement. I'll let you know how it goes.
Can't wait to start getting list mail again - I was about to turn to a life of
crime to fill in all my spare time.

YiS

Asst. Scoutmaster, Troop 69
