That little suffix at the end of VENTURING distinguishes the Troop
program, still called VENTURE (as in "Venture Scouting") as you
described earlier; and the VENTURING program, the new young adult
division of the BSA (with both male and female members again as you
describe).
Don't blame me...its the BSA's fault for making the two so
similiar.
We call...the BSA calls...the ones in the Troop setting VENTURE
and the ones in a separate organization (Crew) VENTURING.

I'd STILL call the Supply Division (better yet, I would WRITE the
Supply Division at National) and ASK them to send you a strip.
They'll do it and be glad to do so....that's how I got my "Scout
BSA" strip on green for my then-new Leadership Corps uniform a
while back and that's also how I got a "Boy Scouts of America"
strip on green for the present Explorer...er...Venturing uniform I
have now. I plan on being one of those writers over the weekend.

Kewl...now if Jessi will allow me to spend *another* $30 on BSA
uniforms....(*smiling*) I have a feeling I'll be seeing more "dead
lobster" in my near future when she says "yeah, go ahead...."

I was told as long as the shorts were grey in color and look
similiar to the BSA issued khaki green shorts....That too is good
news..

I don't either and I've asked. I've also asked if the older grey
slacks that were (still is as far as I'm aware) used as part of the
old Exploring "zoot suit" (blue blazer, grey slacks, striped tie,
Exploring emblem on pocket...which by the way except for the emblem
is the professionals "traditional dress" uniform) are allowed to be
worn with the green shirts. Would be nice, because they'll already
in the Supply Division's inventory (are you "listening" Roy??)

I was told that the Supply Division has pre-mailed a group of order
forms to local Councils on Monday in advance of the All Hands and
that professionals wanting to be "in the proper uniform" can
preorder the items and get them in Nashville. I've heard this from
two DEs and a Field Director that's planning on going to the All
Hands. So I'd check around your Council office and see if they got
the forms....or hit a pro up that's going to the All Hands and see
if they would be willing to order you some stuff while there.

Truer words has never been spoken, Tom....those videos are going to
go QUICKLY. So I would find someone that works at a television
production facility or at a cable outlet and ask them to make a few
copies for your Council to use.....it's legal. So is taking it
home and doing the "hook up" with two VCRs. Just please don't keep
the original...leave that there at the Council office for others to
make copies or as loaned out items!!
