Re: A Webelos' Behavior

The first thing would be to ask the CC if his child was
caught throughing rocks at school should he be removed
from that school.

Scouting is a type of schooling where we are teaching
our children to be better citizens, and one of those
lessons is to respect one another and to treat other
people in the way would like to be treated.

Yes this was wrong of the child to be throughing rocks
but how many kids haven't. There was a great saying
that I hear a lot and I think it can be used in alot of
situations: "Let you who is without sin cast the first
stone".

I think that this should be used as a lesson for the
whole group as to teach what should not be done and
why.

Also this behavior is not only done by kids with ADHD
and just because he has this condition in no way should
the two be connected.

Remember Scouting was created for kids and we are here
to help and guide them not to punish them because they
made an error in judgement.

This is just one Scouts point of view and I'm sure you
will get many more.

Good Luck,
Todd Hunt
