The only point that I will add to this discussion is to ask:

Will allowing her to remain in the organization cause any negative reactions?
Loss of membership?
Members not being willing to participate in events?
Loss of sponsor support?

Will throwing her out, or asking her to resign cause any of the above
negative consequences?
Will it bring about a lawsuit.

Make a balance sheet of the pros and cons, consult with your committee,
your sponsoring organization, and your council. Consult with a lawyer if
necessary about possible legal ramifications.

Then do what is best for the organization IN THE LONG RUN....in other
words, be sure to look at the big picture, don't allow a knee jerk reaction
to take over.
