Mark Chilluti is a past Chief of Unami Lodge #1 and Section Chief (of
whatever the section in the Philadelphia area was called in 1987). He
served as the Conference Vice Chief for Public Relations at the 1988 NOAC
and is a 1990 DSA recipient. Two years ago while working in the Jewelry
Store he owned, a couple of men robbed and shot Mark. He has a spinal cord
injury and is paralyzed from the nipples down. Those of us who know him
are not surprised at how well Mark has bounced back from this terrible
tragedy.
Mark's 'story' will be told on the Montel Williams Show on Tuesday, June 30.
Montel is on NBC at 3 PM in the Philadelphia area and on FOX at 11 AM in
the Boston area. Check your local listings for other cities. I recall
that when his story was told on "America's Most Wanted", they showed a
picture of him sporting his DSA and all.
He will be the next to last guest . They begin by showing some of the
surveillance
video from the robbery and then introduce him for some discussion. He
tells me that it was a pretty neat experience.
(BTW, if you watch it, you can personally tell him that you saw him on TV
at NOAC. He'll be the Training Committee's Office Manager.)
Sooo, be sure you set you VCR for next Tuesday's show.
