"Camping" Beads

I did a goofy thing the other day. I sent a message to Scouts-L and
Scouts-UMC with a Word97 attachment. Of course, it didn't get through to
Scouts-L at all as it exceeded the set message length, but Scouts-UMC folks
probably got something with bunches of garbage text in it!!

I apologize for that. I knew before I did it it was the wrong way to do
send the attachment. Guess the brain housing group just was on vacation for
a bit. Thanks to the UMC folks who pointed out the error of my ways ;-)

At any rate, several folks asked for a copy of anyone's "camping beads" list
and rules, etc for it.

If you would like to see what my Troop uses, please send me a private e-mail
and I will reply with the attachment to you individually. As I said, it is
Word97 format, and the formatting code does not lend itself very readily to
cut and paste.

Also, I point out that this is an unofficial recognition method, used
locally by units if they so desire. Accordingly, there are no official
rules and policies about what a certain style or color bead may mean, nor
how to wear & display the beads. What you see for my Troop probably will
not match any other Troop. Of the several Troops in my District that use
these beads, none of us have the same exact meaning for every bead.

64012 (816) 331-7112. Give them a call and they will send you a
catalogue. I have used this company for 5 years, and know of another unit
that has used them for I guess 10 years or more. We have always had a good
relationship with them. They are quick to help with any goofs, be it
their's or our's. (Not an advertisement, just a statement of facts).
