1. Adult Awards
Venturing Leadership Award (also available for youth) and Venturing
Advisor Award of Merit.
I think Spurgeon goes to Exploring. I also understand there will still
be a Training Award and a Key, but I don't have that in writing.

2. Youth Advancement Awards
Five different Venturing Bronze Awards, for Arts and Hobbies, OUtdoor, Sea
Scouting (Ordinary Award), Sports, and Youth Ministries. "For Outdoor, Venturers
must complete at least four core requirements and two electives that are
found in the Ranger Award requirements." For Sea Scouts, earn the Ordinary Rank.
For the other 3 areas, complete 9 of 12 requirements in that particular area.
Venturing Gold Award; replaces the Exploring G.O.L.D. Award. A Bronze Award
is a prerequisite.Takes at least 12 months.
Venturing Silver Award(I don't know that these are all the requirements):
"Venturers must be proficient in emergency preparedness (including standard
first aid, CPR, and Safe Swim Defense); participate in Ethics in Action;
complete the new Venturing Leadership Skills Course; earn the Venturing Gold
Award...and earn at least one of the five Venturing Bronze Awards." This is
available to all Venturing youth.
Ranger Award--it "exemplifies a challenging high-level outdoor/high
adventure skills advancement program."

3.New literature, etc.
Due in August(?)--Venturing Leader Manual, Ranger Guidebook, Silver Award
Guide, advancement requirements, sales kit, video (youth protection--adult,
youth protection for teens, crew fast start)

4. Training will, I think, include Fast Start, Basic, and a weeklong or
three-weekend course for Venturer adults related to Ranger-type skills.
