Participation in Girl Scouts

I have to say, after reading what has been written about male participation
in Girl Scouts, as well as my business' experience with the local girl scout
council's fundraising, I have some real serious questions about whether or
not my daughter (in several years) will participate in Girl Scouts, or
simply abide her time until she can be an Explorer.
At this point, given that our family as a whole has enjoyed Boy Scouts
because it is designed as family activity (the four year old can't wait to
be a Tiger), I am hesitant to have my daughter participate in an activity
the seems to discount family involvement.
