Kevin,
I agree with everything except the following: "you are selling it as only 1/2
an hour a week :) :)" If you are able to say that completely in jest to the
individual's face that is ok. In a pack situation where you are faced with
little involvement be up front and honest with the parents. Don't mislead
them that their involvement will only be a 1/2 hour. We all know that's the
"time off" :). Be upfront and tell them what you expect from their
involvement and exactly what the specific job or task will require. They'll
be more likely to help again in the future.
