Wearing of "VENTURE" badge...

I am now putting together a group for a Philmont 7/99 Trek..... and am
thinking of designating them as a VENTURE patrol... There will be 3
adults and 9 Scouts...
my question is do the Adults get to wear the Venture patch or only the
Scouts.. nowhere can I find that it is worn by an adult but at a
recent Camporee (we sent two patrols and they tied each other for 1st
Place out of 37 patrols) I saw adults wearing the patch in the same place
that a Scout would....
your opinion? thank you
