Re: Interpreters Strip

An interesting suggestion since you have two people interested in
getting the strip might be to have them test each other (especially
for the 5-minute conversation).

I have also had experience doing it a couple of other ways. When I
got my French interpreter strip, I got my HS French teacher to test
me; she then wrote a note which I took to my SM. This past year, when
one of my scouts (who had moved in from Quebec) wanted his French
strip, I had his mom (a fluent speaker) verify that he had done all of
the requirements (since my own French was rusty enough that I wasn't
going to try carrying on a 5-minute conversation).
