I'm going to take one paragraph of a communication from National and read
something into it before I get the response from the man I asked for one. If I
am misreading it, my apologies to all:
>The bottom line change is that we now have two divisions working on our high
>school age programs-- Exploring, Senior High Learning For Life, and
Venturing.
That, to my innocent eye, reads Exploring and Venturing for High School aged
youth. Not Venture Crews in Troops, Venturing. Of course, there are three
programs listed - Exploring, Senior High LFL, and Venturing - in two divisions
- LFL and BSA.
Could one of you Advancement guys who knows John Dalrymple well call and ask
him if Venture Crews will continue in Troops? Perhaps we're asking the wrong
people by asking the Exploring and Venturing people over and over and we need
to ask someone in Boy Scouting. My main ties are in Exploring, Venturing, and
Relationships, and perhaps another division would have a different statement
to make.
