Not a bad idea at all. Camping MB, which is MB #1 in the program (and in the
computer), should be a major achievement for a Scout. All too often I see
Scouts just making the camping nights and being slid through the other
requirements as if Camping MB were only a symbol of 20 nights camping.
The fact that this idea comes from a Scout is especially significant. I would
assume Mark would not have passed this on if he didn't think this Scout was a
real go-getter.
Although I have not seen it yet to any degree, we should all be watchful to
prevent the "dumbing down" of Scouting. Ideas like this are beneficial.
