One of the very best reasons is that they will then be Scouts. In addition,
they will be covered by the Scout insurance in case anything should happen
while they are in performace of a Scouter role. Also, I make sure my
parents understand the troop is only as good as the active adults supporting
it. IMHO a fantastic boy lead program can go down the tubes if there is not
enough good adult background support (chaperones, vehicle drivers, people
for boards, MB councilors, etc)
