My guess is that you'd want to drop the bag into boiling water to cook after
first mixing into the egg your cheeze, onions, mushrooms or whatever.
Zip-lock (freexer NOT storage) bags can be used to cook more than one item in
water which may be unclear or unclean and yet protect the food from organizms.
It is best to double bag the items. For example pasta or rice in just enough
DRINKABLE water to absorb (or lesser amounts with veges, or none with sauce).
Once the bag(s) is/are dropped in the boiling water, the interior water will
soon reach the temperature of the surrounding water, and cook the contents.
Remember, you can still overcook pasta, etc. by using this method, and if the
water boils out your plastic will still melt. The same concept applies when
you boil or cook in a paper utensil, however there you can even (conceptually)
fry so long as the oil and food don't reach that magical temperature for
burning paper - +451F.
