I think the problem is, how would you know if the people voting
were in scouting, or if they were voting for the interest of
the BSA and it youth?

I have been posting to rec.scouting.issues in the last couple
of weeks and have thrown away *many* (>100) hate emails that
I received. About 2% supported my posts, about 98% did not. But of
that 98% - I would guess 90% had never been in scouts (based on their
mis-information about scouting).

Twice someone attempted to subscribe me to white supremacy email-lists.
I am right of center, however I don't hate anyone and have no room for
that kind of stuff.

I think that if this group were to vote, you are going to
be opening the door to the debate - I would vote to keep that
topic out of here. Not because it is good or bad, but because
this mailing list is for scouting {ideas, stories, ...}, not
a place for debating views.

In this day and age it seems to be politicly incorrect to speak up
and support your views if you are in the majority or you will
be accused of stepping on someone. I just don't see the gain
of a vote here on this mailing list.
