Our troop meets on Mondays as well, but the only weeks we take off are two
around Christmas and one at Spring Break. We meet every other Monday of the
year. Our attendance really slacks off in the summer though.

I believe summertime is when scouts should be most active. We do not take
them off. We have five non-meeting activities scheduled for June-August this
year.
